Insect pollinators are essential to healthy food systems and thriving ecosystems, but their populations are in decline - and schools across the Midwest are doing something about it!

Sand County Foundation's Pollinator Habitat Education Program gives students hands-on experience growing and planting native wildflowers, restoring critical habitat while building practical skills and a genuine connection to the natural world.

We offer two pathways for educators: the Seed Starter Activity, a beginner-friendly entry point for grades K-12, and the Pollinator Habitat Grant, a more in-depth opportunity for high schools ready to design and maintain a larger native habitat site.
